World Citizen Identity Card

Thinking Universality, Living Diversity - Human Standards In A Global World

World Citizen ID-Card

The Concept

The World Citizen Identiy Card is an identity card available to everyone worldwide, the acquisition of which is linked to the agreement and identification with the idea of world citizenship. The holder of the card thereby agrees to the globally valid code of conduct of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) of the UN and declares that he or she will behave accordingly.
The World Citizen ID Card makes transparent how many people on EARTH see and feel themselves as citizens of the world. It shows that, in addition to the national or continental perspective of people, there is also a transnational perspective to which one can commit oneself.

When it comes to the benefits for humanity, only the world citizen perspective offers a clear view of humanitarian needs, as it is not clouded by national or continental perspectives. The World Citizenship perspective leads to looking beyond the national and continental perspective.
The World Citizen ID Card supports the development of a global, transnational, transcontinental and transreligious community focused on the interests of realizing human standards. This community in turn strengthens the individual profile of the World Citizen in his or her place of residence.
The World Citizen ID Card thus supports all UN|UNESCO activities aimed at world peace.
